What is Change a Light?
The Change a Light, Change the World campaign encourages Americans to join the fight against global warming by making energy-efficient changes at home and work. At the campaign’s heart is the ENERGY STAR Change a Light Pledge, found at energystar.gov/changealight.
This online Pledge is a simple but vital method of forming a community of inspired individuals across the nation to commit to reduce greenhouse gases and save energy. The pledge is about more than just changing your light bulbs, it also challenges you to do more to help save energy - such as power managing computers, choosing ENERGY STAR qualified appliances, or properly programming thermostats.
Every light changed is a step in the right direction. Together we can preserve energy resources and our environment for this generation and the next.
